Who We Are

Nonprofit Network's Mission is to Strengthen Nonprofit Governance and Management. 

 

Nonprofit Network began as a direct result of the expressed needs and desires of Jackson's nonprofits. Since Nonprofit Network opened its doors in 1999, under the name Jackson Nonprofit Support Center, it has acted as a community collaborator and point of coordination for gathering and disseminating information pertinent to nonprofits. Nonprofit Network further assists the nonprofit community through providing specialized management and governance services.

The consultants at Nonprofit Network provide customized services based on your unique needs.  We deliver our services from a wealth of experience and resources.  Our hands-on, results-oriented approach to teaching and coaching is based on years of working with diverse boards and organizations.  Each consultant is highly trained and has a specific area of expertise, but can deliver any of our available services, such as board assessments, diversity and inclusion, strategic planning, on-site workshops, leadership development and retreat facilitation. Jessica Chipman
Office Manager


 


Jessica is Nonprofit Network's Office Manager.  She manages membership and supports the consultants in their work with the nonprofit community.  Prior to joining Nonprofit Network, Jessica worked in graduate admissions as a Student Services Coordinator at Spring Arbor University.  In addition, she served as an Account Specialist at American One Credit Union and interned at the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce.  She earned her Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Business Administration from Spring Arbor University.  Jessica is a member of Jackson Young Professionals and a 2017 graduate of Leadership Jackson through the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce.

 
Carrie Heider Grant
Program Coordinator


 
Carrie plans and coordinates our training calendar and manages marketing and social media.  With a diverse background in customer service and administrative support, Carrie brings a unique perspective to her role as Program Coordinator. Before joining Nonprofit Network in 2014, Carrie worked as the Research Coordinator at the University of Louisville School of Public Health's evaluation team for the $7.8 million CDC-funded Communities Putting Prevention to Work grant. She has spent time in Nicaragua and Uganda and holds a bachelor's degree in English Literature from Spring Arbor University
