Lending Library

Did you know that Nonprofit Network has a lending library?  Nonprofit Network has over 250 books and various magazine publications that members can check out.  Here's a look at two publications recently added to our library -

First, Break all the Rules by Marcus Buckhingham & Curt Coffman, 1999.

This book is an in-depth study of great managers across a wide variety of situations.  These managers, who were the focus of this study, excelled at turning each employee's talent into performance.

Social Marketing by Philip Kotler & Nancy Lee, 2008.

A noticeably increasing number of nonprofit organizations and government agencies have come to recognize the power of sophisticated marketing concepts and tools drawn from the commercial sector. This book will focus on ways to understand what social marketing is all about and how to carry it out most effectively.

HEALTH CARE REFORM AND INFORMATION FOR SMALL BUSINESSES/NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act that became law on March 23, 2010, gives a tax credit to qualifying small businesses that provide health care coverage to their employees, effective with tax years beginning in 2010.  Eligible small employers can qualify for a credit worth up to 35% of premiums paid in 2010 (for businesses) or 25% of premiums paid (for tax-exempt groups).
